NACIIL-HCFL Conference Recovery and resolution of credit institutions and investment firms

Thursday May 23, 2013, from 09.30 - 17.00, the Netherlands Association of Comparative and International Insolvency Law (NACIIL) and the Hazelhoff Centre for Financial Law (HCFL, Leiden Law School) jointly organise a conference on the topical theme of recovery and resolution of credit institutions and investment firms. Much attention will be paid to the draft Directive of the European Commission on the same subject published in June 2012. Speakers (practitioners as well as academics) coming from seven jurisdictions provide general introductions and specific workshops on themes such as the requirements for a rescue or recovery plan, bail-in and the position of counter-parties, the rule of law versus authorities discretion and the treatment of cross-border groups.
